To pay for son’s burial, family draws on neighbors’ charity

In Moral of the Story on March 13, 2009 at 3:25 pm

First of all, my condolences to the family and other loved ones the 12-year old kid who died in Mandaue City.

Having good family, relatives and friends is definitely a good thing. Just like the very fortunate family on this article who was able to asked for help from their neighbors and other people to pay for the burial of their son who died.

As lucky as they were but that should have not been the case. As our financial responsibility from the present up until the future is no one’s responsibility except for us alone. Donations from other people are just that… donations which is by definition is just an act of charity which is often times volutary. They are lucky they have received donations BUT what if nobody donated, how then will they bury their son? Money is needed definitely but how will they get if nobody donated even after begging, that’s the question. That’s where sometimes, “evil deeds” come in just to have money.

That’s the purpose of having a memorial plan. A memorial plan is your fund that will be used during memorial and burial incidents. The kid that died is 12 years old and the parents or breadwinner of the family could have saved little amount on a monthly basis for this inevitable event (death). Everybody will die thus the need for money to cover up the memorial and burial expenses is obvious. And these expenses doesn’t really cost cheap that’s why it’s best if it’s saved on a monthly basis for a certain number of years as compared to coming up with the lumpsum money to cover up the expenses. Even the rich people that has the capability to produce lumpsum cash for such events have memorial plans what more the not-so rich ones.

There are a lot of investment instruments that could be used to fund one’s memorial and burial needs and the most common is the memorial plan product offered by preneed companies or insurance companies. Such product obliges you to make regular payments for a certain period of time which will be used at the event of… DEATH.

Nobody in his right mind would want to beg for money for anything unless it’s really needed because there’s nothing else he could do… Should you wish to have a trustworthy agent, kindly contact me so that I could refer you to my father.
