I have started a category here in my blog entitled, Impolite Comments, where I write about such comments I receive online or offline (but mostly online) to be able to teach about people about RESPECTING others by using personal and real-life examples as I always do in teaching.
Anyway, if there’s a category such as this, then it’s only fair to share Uplifting Comments I receive as well to also show that respecting other people is something that all of us should strive to do, no matter how hard it is. As the bible said, even though I have different spiritual beliefs, “Don’t do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you”.
If you are an avid reader of my humble blogsite, then you would have noticed the latest impolite comments I received that I blogged entitled, “The essense of being Francis M”. I posted the blog as well in my Multiply Account and received the comments below:
“I was able to see that wordwars.. I even place a comment on their.. because i cant really take the thought that they were all talking about a very good man in that manner.. i mean the photos has been deleted all the sides have been heard.. so what else do they need?.. I understand your concern, and i agree with u.. we should act as civilized person here and being fm’s fan is not only buying his cds and shirts but practicing what he believes in.. thank you..” – From aysachang, via my Multiply Blog
This is how you give a PROPER comment by respecting the opinions of other people.
It’s really simple… If you don’t agree with other people’s opinion, you can either do any of the following things below BUT CERTAINLY NOT by being impolite and disrespectful in responding to give a comment a.k.a. violent reactions:
- Communicate decently with the person to learn more about him and his opinion. By doing this, you’ll be able to expand your knowledge through another person’s opinion and hopefully learn positive things from it. We learn every minute even from a negative experience and comment.
- If you won’t be able to communicate decently because you don’t accept other people’s opinion then simply shut up.
